Monday, September 17th, 2007

Turning to the internet for careers, it is too good of an opportunity to pass up. While it does require a great deal of effort to gain a reputable image, you can get to the top with just a few steps.

1. Find a niche You can do virtually anything you want with network marketing, but it is vital that you stick with one niche. There are many people that attempt to do too many things at once, which only take away valuable time and energy you could be using on one theme. Whatever niche you decide to focus on, stick with it and broaden it as best as you can before you embark on your next niche.

2. Articles Writing articles can be a great way to get the word out on the internet about you while showing off your knowledge and expertise. There is a lot of duplicate content on the internet that people get tired of seeing. If you can create fresh and enticing content through articles, you are sure to reel in people to your network marketing website.

3. Start an Ezine Generating a list for your business is vital when it comes to networking. It allows you to keep in touch with customers and prospects while maintaining a personal relationship. It will save you loads of time and make things much more convenient for you and everyone within it.

4. Build a downline Having a downline within your network marketing business can do wonders for you. However, building a downline does not come easy and is certainly not handed to you. It will take time, so it is crucial that you stick with it and are patient. You cannot expect to have a full downline in a couple of weeks. But after months of recruiting and advertising, you will be able to build up a respectable downline.

5. Recruit Recruiting is the number one facet of network marketing. You have to be prospecting and networking constantly to build up a downline and convert prospects to customers. You cannot expect to spend a couple of hours a week recruiting if you want to build up your downline. As soon as you get some people in your downline, you must train them while you continue to recruit more. You can never have too many people in your downline.

There are hundreds of things that can assist you with having success in network marketing. These are five of the more important facets of network marketing that can lead you to the top of the ladder. Networking, prospecting and recruiting all take time and a great deal of effort, but the rewards make it worthwhile.

What Do They Mean by Finding a Niche on the Internet?

Monday, September 17th, 2007

We all know that there are millions of searches done on the Internet every day. Did you know that there are tens of thousands of searches done on the Internet every day that are not satisfied by good content, (Information on that topic)? Did you know that all of the searches are tracked by a central database? (Wordtracker.com) In addition to the words that people do searches on, the search engines keep track of the number of sites that they have indexed with those key words, and how long people spend at those sites. How long they spend is believed to be a representation of the quality of the content on the site. In other words, if a person found what they are looking for, they probably won’t keep searching.

What does all of this mean? It means that you are able to look up the different words that people have searched on, and see if there was enough or satisfactory content available to satisfy the needs of those looking for that particular information. I’ll give an example: If I do a search on the internet for “vacation spots” I get 3 million results. If I do a search for “Forest Lake Minnesota Vacation Spots,” I get zero results. What does this tell me? It tells me that Google has 3 million sites with information on vacation spots. That means if I was going to try and build a site around these key words, I have to compete with millions of other sites. It also tells me that there are zero sites that have information on “Forest Lake Minnesota vacation spots.” That means if I wanted to do a site based on those key words, I would have no competition.

Let’s see if this helps you understand better. If we found out that the key work phrase “Forest Lake Minnesota Vacation Spots” had about six to eight hundred searches every month, and knowing that the search engines have very little to offer for this key word phrase, we know that we will get about six to eight hundred visitors every month to our site. Remember, this is free traffic. You have now found a niche.

So, what makes this an opportunity you might ask? The answer is because any time you have a regular supply of traffic going past your front door, you can be sure that those people need things. All you have to do is find things to put on your site that they want to buy. You can even create informational guides that you can sell. Keep in mind; these would be very high margin items. The best part of this is that you can build this website, get the tools you need to do the research, and the tools you need to optimize it for less than $499.00. Not a bad price for a business that has very high income potential.

The main point isn’t that you should build a site using the keyword content of “Forest Lake Minnesota Vacation Spots?” The main point is that there are thousands of niches “opportunities” out there right now waiting for you to take hold.

What this means is that if you looked at your own interests and you are willing to do a little research, you could probably find a small group of key words on that topic that people are currently doing searches for, which have little or no websites that provide good quality information for those searches.

You might be wondering why it is so important that you choose a topic that you enjoy. The reason is that you are almost going to be married to this topic for quite a while. I mean with all the time you are going to have to put into writing content, articles, and let’s not forget all of that takes time to research. With so many topics available, pick one that lights your fire…

I have found that one of the best ways to learn more about Internet marketing is to collaborate on projects with others. I can’t believe how many tools I have come across and many of those have been shared with me by friends just like you. So, let’s share some ideas and make some money, I promise I will help you any way I can.
